The work of Copenhagen based Icelandic designer Dögg Guðmundsdóttir is driven by the deep passion for her Nordic roots and traditions. Her design transfers the Nordic aesthetic into people*s everyday lives.
Combining traditional materials and crafts with industrial production techniques, Dögg products are characterized by tactility, contrast and a high degree of sensual originality. Many of her designs are akin to functional sculptures or pieces of art, while others are part of a unified collection.
The working field ranges from one-off items, graphic, industrial- and furniture design to design management, consulting, production and teaching.
ROOTS collection is first mass production items produced under Dögg Design’s own label. – A celebration of Dögg’s Icelandic heritage, this series bridges together elements of the Icelandic wilderness with modern designs.
